Glimpse #3 - inspired by my love for shortbread cookies.

Glimpses are a collection of very short stories intended to capture the essence of very ordinary people, places, or things that I find extraordinary.

White, smooth, flawless dough. Nothing more than flour, sugar, salt and butter. Perfection. Pure. Innocent.

If you're lucky, you can crunch the individual grains of sugar or salt between your teeth.

Eventually, memories of earlier times bubble up like soda. Times when you'd stay sticky all day, lips crusted in cookie crumbs and a red Kool-Aid backdrop.
